Morara Kebaso, a Kenyan lawyer and activist known for his viral video series "Vampire Diaries," is reaching out to the public for financial support to boost his civic education and activism efforts. Morara is aiming to raise between Sh838,200 and Sh1.27 million to purchase a fully equipped public address system. This system will help him engage with roadside gatherings and large crowds across the country, spreading messages of good governance and accountability.
Morara has already raised Sh325,000 but still needs more funds to reach his goal. He plans to fit the sound system onto a vehicle, although he is currently facing challenges in securing a suitable one. He mentioned having an old Land Rover Defender that needs repairs, which could be used for the campaign.
Morara gained significant attention with his "Vampire Diaries" series, where he exposes government inefficiencies by highlighting abandoned or non-functional development projects. His fearless approach has resonated with many Kenyans, making him a well-known critic of government excesses.
In a recent appearance on Citizen TV's JKLive show, Morara claimed that President William Ruto offered him a government position to silence his activism, a claim refuted by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed during the same show.
Morara remains committed to his activism and is appealing to Kenyans of goodwill to support his cause as he continues to advocate for transparency and accountability in governance.
