Jocelyn described the strong bond she shared with Marie and the heartbreaking experience of watching her take her last breath. She recalled the day she and her husband, Marie's father, celebrated Marie's completion of her KCSE exams by treating her to a special meal.
Jocelyn expressed her deep connection with Marie, which began when Marie was just seven years old. She highlighted how their relationship grew stronger over the years, with Marie teaching her much about motherhood.
In her emotional tribute, Jocelyn recounted the harrowing experience of trying to administer first aid to Marie for nearly 30 minutes while waiting for an ambulance, which took over an hour to arrive. Despite their efforts, Marie passed away, leaving her family devastated.
Marie Achieng's passing has been a difficult time for her mother, Nyaboke Moraa, who has endured multiple losses in the past year, including the deaths of her grandmother, niece, brother, and now her daughter. The family continues to receive support and condolences from friends and the community during this challenging period
