Former Sol Generation signee Bensoul is riding high on the success of his latest album, The Party & The After Party, released on July 27. The album marks a significant milestone in his career, celebrating his growth and independence as an artist. In a recent interview, the "Navutishwa" hitmaker opened up about his creative process and his challenges as a songwriter. "At times, I struggle writing songs and I seek help from veterans like Bien Aime. I've written like 100 songs before shortlisting the ones I want in an album or EP (Extended Play). I have so many songs, and sometimes I wonder if people will ever get to listen to all of them. I am even planning to have a channel to release some of the songs that didn't make it into my albums," Bensoul revealed. "There was a day I woke up at night after a certain dream and thought about the message of that dream. I wrote a song about that particular dream. It was around 3:00 am," he said. The Party & The After Party is Bensoul's second album and represents a turning point in his career. Having departed from Sol Generation, Bensoul has now launched his record label, The Sudah Nation. In a past interview, Bensoul said leaving Sol Generation was a smooth transition. "Considering everything that I have learned at Sol Generation I feel like I’m ready to handle my empire and make sure I take care of other artists on the way. I feel like I’m in a better place and I want to be on my own- work on my life, my career, and everything," Bensoul said. Sharing more about his new journey, he said he would still keep his brand name. "It’s not changing; I’m just introducing people to something they already know. The Sudah era- The Lion of Sudah, as my album introduces us to my company ‘The Lion of Sudah” and the festival that will be happening on the 2oth of April at Alchemist and then Sudah Coin," he said.
